Rescue Me ID: 16-08-04-00741Honey (female)

Anatolian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Honey was a stray that we got a call on, but the people failed to mention that she had a fish hook through her front lip and into her soft palate.... as soon as Allan got there he immediately took her to the Vet where they did a quick surgery to remove it. That is why she has a small bandage on her leg where she had an IV. The hair grows back quickly there, and she has no ill effects from the fish hook! She does however think Allan hung the moon!. See her sitting on his foot which is an act of endearment :) She is living at our foster house with Tinkerbelle a 15 lb F Poodle Mix, Lucky an old female chow and Boo our male Tripod. ... (Read More)She loves them all. She uses the dog door and is perfectly housebroken. She is a doll of a dog! WE are not exactly sure of her breeding but she has a great temperament and is just a darling girl. Shepherd/Boxer/Lab.... She would be perfect for almost any family! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-04-00367Meathead (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meathead is the mascot for Texas Best Choices. He lives in a kennel where all the action is- where people arrive to adopt and everyone wants to greet Meathead. He is a big boy, about 5 years old, with a deep bark, but he wouldn't hurt a flea.... unless it if about food. Meathead lives alone because we "free feed" and he is a bit food aggressive... In a home, you can feed 2 dogs separately and not have an issue. We love Meathead so he can live here as long as he needs to but we want more for him ! Meathead was tied to our gate with a rope several years ago...he looked like he could have been in a fight. There were wounds ... (Read More)all over his head and body. He was quite sad looking. He also had some old scars, so he likely had a pretty rough life before TBC. We spoil him, and everyone loves him, but he truly deserves a home and a family of his own. He looks like a thoroughbred when he walks- or should I say prances! He loves to play ball and even though he is not beautiful, he has rugged good looks and the heart of a child. Meathead will be waiting for you, if you have a heart of gold :) (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-04-00325Princess (female)

German Shepherd    Age: Adult

Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

6/6/16 Meet Princess. Princess was left tied to our gate with Athena who recently got adopted. We believe Princess was her mother and was likely used for breeding all her life. This sweet lady enjoys her life at the rescue and likes to go for walks but would ultimately love to find her furever home, even if late in life. This lovely girl was used and abused as a breeding dog and then thrown out like trash. I hope these people meet their maker and have to face the consequences. She is amazing and so deserving of a home. Her teeth are worn down like she had chewed on a chain so we do not know her age... she has grey in her muzzle ... (Read More)but she still likes to go for walks and is quite energetic...she may not be as old as she looks, just because she was mistreated. Please consider this special girl today! (Less)
